Section 4g of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) stipulates that the data protection officer must suitably provide anyone with the following information, in accordance with Section 4e. We hereby comply with this requirement, waiving any individual written requests by you.

4. Purpose of data collection, processing and usage:

The company’s purpose is to produce and sell milled products and bakery ingredients for professional baking businesses. The three mill locations (Dresdener Mühle in Dresden, GEORG PLANGE in Neuss/Duisburg, Pfalzmühle in Mannheim) predominantly supply the regional market with standard wheat and rye flours. GEORG PLANGE also produces and sells baking ingredients for professional baking businesses at a national and international level.

Data is collected, processed and used to fulfil the aforementioned purposes.

5. Description of the affected groups and the relevant data and data categories:
Customer data, employee data and supplier data, insofar as this is required to fulfil the purposes stated under section 4. Specifically:

  • Customer data/Debtor data: e.g. Contact person, address data, contract data, payment data and control data
  • Supplier data/Creditor data: e.g. Master contractual data, billing data and control data for suppliers and service providers (IT service, licences, consultancy services, educational institutions, maintenance, tradespeople, cleaning)
  • Staff data: e.g. Planning data, master contract data and billing data for applicants/staff/pensioners/other entitled beneficiaries
  • Other personal data: Data relating to other business partners (e.g. system partners, chambers, associations, banks and authorities), data relating to prospective customer support, visitor management, video surveillance etc.

6. Recipients or categories of recipients with whom the data may be shared:
Public offices if overriding legal regulations apply, external contractors as per Section 11 BDSG, as well as external establishments and internal departments of PMG GmbH & Co. KG to fulfil the purposes stated under section 4. Specifically:

  • Public offices, insofar as overriding legal regulations require this (e.g. social security providers or finance authorities)
  • Internal offices, insofar as this data is needed to correctly fulfil tasks there (accounting, HR management, controlling, professional training)
  • Service providers/external contractors (Section 11 BDSG) hired to duly transact business
  • Other external establishments to correctly fulfil the purposes stated under section 4 (e.g. banks as part of wage/salary payments and supplier bills), companies belonging to the group or other external establishments to fulfil the aforementioned purposes insofar as the affected party has consented in writing, this is required for contract fulfilment, or data sharing is permitted for predominantly justified interests.

7. Mandatory periods for deleting data:

The legislators have enacted a number of different storage obligations and periods. Once the legal, statutory or contractual storage periods have elapsed, the relevant data is routinely deleted, insofar as it is no longer required for contractual fulfilment or business purposes, or beyond the mandatory deadlines as a result of legal requirements. Any data not affected by this will be deleted as soon as the purposes stated under section 4 cease to apply.

Planned transfer of data to third countries:
There are currently no plans to send personal data to third countries.
