Cookies serve to store specific, device-based information on the user’s device. They are primarily designed to increase website user-friendliness, and thus aid users. These small files can also collect statistical data on website usage and analyse service improvements. Users can control how cookies are applied. Many browsers enable cookie storage to be restricted or completely disabled. In this case, the website’s services and ease of use may become limited.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service run by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, text files stored on users’ computers which enable their website use to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie regarding the users’ use of this website is generally sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.
If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, users’ IP addresses will, however, be abbreviated beforehand in European Union member states or other countries belonging to the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and then shortened. IP anonymisation is active on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of this website’s operator to analyse its usage by users, compile reports on website activities, and render other services relating to website use and Internet use for the website operator.
The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. Users can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting their browser software settings accordingly. Please note, however, that this may mean they are unable to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent the data generated by the cookie relating to their website usage (incl. IP address) from being recorded and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
This website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com, run by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are denoted by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs up” symbol) or the addendum “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and pictures of the Facebook social plugin may be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If a user retrieves a page of this website containing one of these plugins, their browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The plugin’s content is sent directly from Facebook to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. The provider cannot control the extent of the data Facebook collects using this plugin, and thus informs the user of its level of knowledge as follows:
By integrating the plugins, Facebook is notified when a user retrieves the relevant page of the website. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to the user’s Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, e.g. press the Like button or post a comment, the relevant information will be sent by your browser directly to Facebook, where it will be stored. If a user does not have a Facebook account, it is still possible that Facebook may find out and store the user’s IP address. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.
The purpose and scope of the data collection, further processing and usage of the data by Facebook, and the relevant rights and setting options for protecting user privacy may be viewed in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user has a Facebook account and does not want Facebook to collect details about them through this website and link it to their member details stored by Facebook, they must log out of Facebook before visiting the website.
It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins using add-ons for your browser, e.g. the "Facebook Blocker".
The information generated by cookies and web beacons regarding usage of this website (including users’ IP addresses) and delivery of advertising formats is sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. Google may share this information with its contractual partners, but will not connect your IP address with other information stored about you.
Users may prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting their browser software settings accordingly. Please note, however, that this may make it impossible for all of this website’s functions to be used to their full extent. By using this website, users agree for their personal data to be collected and processed by Google in the aforementioned manner and for the aforementioned purpose.
